About the JC Twisters
The JC Twisters are the official esports team of Junction City, Kansas—built to empower local talent and create a pipeline for competitive gaming, content creation, and digital careers. Founded in 2025, the Twisters were developed from the ground up through the city’s new Esports & Technology Program.
With a focus on community, growth, and opportunity, the Twisters compete in top titles like Call of Duty, TEKKEN 8, Street Fighter, Apex Legends, Rocket League, and more. Backed by a $40K launch budget and designed with player development in mind, the program includes hands-on education in social media, branding, teamwork, and event production.
Grand Opening
On May 5, 2025, the JC Twisters made history with one of the biggest grand opening turnouts the city has ever seen—standing room only. The energy was electric as we officially launched the Twisters Esports & Technology Program, backed by six key partnerships: the Kansas National Guard, TAPW, CASA, Soardogg, Junction City Main Street, and Reactor Gaming. This day marked more than just a launch—it was the beginning of a movement for esports in Junction City.
Twister Arena
Welcome to the Twister Arena—Junction City’s first dedicated esports and gaming facility. Outfitted with 10 custom-built, high-performance PCs from Reactor Gaming and 10 PlayStation Pros, the arena is designed for both serious competition and community play. The space also features three large-screen TVs and a full projector setup for events, watch parties, and tournaments.
Best of all? It’s completely free to the public. Whether you're a competitor, content creator, or casual gamer, the Twister Arena is your place to connect, level up, and game together.
